Summon the Roses interviews Anti Feminism and CELL's Nao and Kon!

Summon the Roses had the extraordinary honor of conducting two amazing Jrock interviews in just one night! Anti Feminism and CELL! The interview was conducted live through Skype from Los Angeles, California @ 6:00pm in the Afternoon. The bands traveled all the way from Japan to perform at Vnited Music Fest On Sunday, June 5th, 2015.

Anti Feminism was the first to appear for the interview right before CELL. We had a chance to ask a few questions to the band through live video!

ANTI FEMINISM INTERVIEW

 ©Anti Feminism

Anti Feminism began the interview with proper introductions from each band member. Kenzi(Vo), Shogo(Gu), Ruiji(Ba) Shizuki(Dr).

What is the best part about being in a Visual Kei band?

Kenzi: Our roots are Visual Kei but, we are not only pushing Visual Kei, we still like to wear the make up and etc, and in the punk scene, it is still ok. We are mixing it in so that we can push towards any genre. Visual kei is wearing make up but it is also an expression.

Do you have any plans of doing a world tour?

Kenzi: Right now, no! But please invite us!!

What projects are you working on right now? Is there a music video on the way?

Kenzi: We are working on a new mini-album! Which we will be releasing August 26th and there will be videos for that. There are songs from the past that will be remastered and new songs will be recorded as well. It will also be my 30th Anniversary CD.

That is a very long time!

Kenzi: Yes! It is because of everyone's support! That it's why I am around being able to do something like this!.

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced as a musician?

Kenzi: I haven't really had a very challenging moment. In a good way, even if it may sound bad, to be very kinda stress free and relaxed doing what I want to do it's what keeps me going. It is what makes me stable for any challenges that might come up.

How are you enjoying Los Angeles so far?

Kenzi: We are having fun and eating a lot! So, before the show tomorrow night my tummy is actually pointing out! I don't know what to do about it *laughs*

It is good to eat a lot!

Kenzi: We want to the customers to enjoy July 5th so we are focusing on that! We are really feeling Los Angeles vibe right now!

Yes, and it's the 4th of July!

Kenzi: I was able to see Fireworks last year, and I really want to see Fireworks this year on Independance Day!

You guys look amazing!

Kenzi: We actually chose this outfit because we thought it was funny. We all like to be wearing the same outfit and accessories.

Thank you Anti Feminism for this great interview! We had fun!
CELL INTERVIEW

©CELL
Summon the Roses waited as CELL prepared to come out for the interview. When Kon and Nao came out they both introduced themselves and both looked amazingly stunning for the interview.

What is the significance of all the color red in the band?

Kon: We didn't actually start of with red at first, but one time in La Mule, we had a style with the color red, and a lot of fans actually liked it and wanted it and expected it. It became natural that our color was red and the fans and audiences made that impression and we were not expecting that to happen. It just became naturally that way.

You had a Youtube contest for this event and a fan will be playing with you on stage. How did this idea happen? Who thought of of bringing a fan with you on stage to perform?

Nao: There is a situation right now and it's only the two of us in the band, and we also thought it would be fun and a way to connect with the local fans. It was just so we can engage more and we thought of this idea of making a contest that one lucky person could join us on stage. That was basically what the idea was.

What is your favorite song to perform?

Nao: We don't really have an specific favorite song right now. Usually what really hits me is the last song we play on the show, and we feel something. We like all of them at the same time!

Do you have any plans of doing a world tour?

Kon: We don't particularly have a schedule for right now. We would definitely love to do a world tour in the future! We really want to do that. We jumped out of Japan and now we are in Los Angeles for the Third time already, and we do have the heart and we feel like we need to be out here more, and if it's a world tour we would love to do that! If it's possible.

What are some similarities and differences of performing in front of your Japanese fans to performing in front of American fans?

Kon: The fans in Japan are more quiet. They try to be polite, and back off a little bit. in America, they are very direct! They are very straight and energetic. (Both Kon and Nao agreed).

Do you have a message for your fans?

Kon: My throat is very sore!!
Nao: As same as last time we want to have a show where we have fun with the fans and have a memorable show! Especially for tomorrow since we are performing.
Both Kon & Nao thanked us for the interview!

Summon the Roses Interview with Kanon Wakeshima in 2009 Translated in French

© Defstar Records Inc.

Revenons en 2009, Summon the Roses aeu l'honneur d'interviewer Kanon Wakeshima @ Otakon! Voici l'interview!

Kanon: Mon producteur Mana-sama conçoit mes costumes.
