" How did you come up with your band name Insomnia? Insomnia generally means a sleep disorder in which there is an inability to fall asleep or to stay asleep as long as desired. However, in our case, Somnus in Roman mythology is the derivation of iNSOMNiA. Our consciousness in Somnus is iNSOMNiA. How did you all come together to form Insomnia? Can you tell us how did you come up with your musical concept? Stragraph ‘s concept is based on our beliefs . We wanted to a create something cool, something to cherish , our own genre of rock. Can you tell us a bit about how you all became Christians and decided to form a Christian rock band? It's a long story but it happened in 2007-2008. We were just a "normal" rock band based in Japan, but we decided to "dedicate our music to God". We met this particular Christian singer/songwriter and that person inspired us. Soon later the drummer back then left the band because he could not agree to the "religious" direction the band was going.
