Summon the Roses had the chance of interviewing ELM! We had a small talk with the band and each member answered our questions. Enjoy the interview!

Can you tell us about your band name ELM, who picked the name for the band and what does it mean?

The provisional title of the sad dream on Elm Street of Dream Theater [Elm].

What is the image of your band? Can you explain your style?

Horror, dark • fairy tale, such as spindle portrays profound psychological portrait.

Can you tell us how ELM formed?
 
Members changed, and formed Jekyll and Rua.
27 now five become the system.

Who writes most of the music in ELM?

Rua is the main composer.

Are you working on a new ELM PV?

It will be published soon.

You have a new single that will be released on 2015.07.22 titled 「瓶詰の太陽~あの日の罪と罰と償いを~」 can you tell us about this single?
 
All the songs from previous single collected.

Do you have plans to come to America to play live?
 
Anywhere, if we get invited.

In what country would you like to perform?

Not a country in particular, it all depends on the timing.

Who has inspired you in your music career?
 
Jekyll: The Back Horn
Rua: I have many but BUCK-TICK
Kei: X JAPAN
Nina: Spitz
Boogie: The Yellow Monkey,Thee Michelle Gun Elephant

What is your favorite hobby when you are not working on music?
 
Jekyll: Watch movies
Rua: Game and Toy Collection
Kei: Reading
Nina: Games
Boogie: Watch Anime and Nostalgia

What are your future goals with ELM?
 
Jekyll: Not the end location in the same way as the journey.
Rua: To be recognized around the world.
Kei: Stand on a big stage!
Nina: For a lot of people to know ELM!
Boogie: To work with pride. To die right now in our band ELM and have pride.

What message do you want to give to your fans?
 
Jekyll: Although is not easy to go overseas, I want to try and live abroad of given the chance. So, come to Japan if there is an opportunity!
Rua: I've got chances and hot demand even if we let voices all over the world.
Kei: Performing abroad is one of our dreams for a long time. Please give us strength so our dream can come true.
Nina: Try reaching Elm!
Boogie: We look forward to when you come to the ELM street in Japan! So come!

    Listening to ELM for the first time was mind blowing (I really would love to go to one of their LIVEs ^^ )
    Overall I love how enthusiastic they were (it was very kawaii :3 ) both the Fan Shout Out and the message they gave us was Lovely ! ( Arigatou ELM ! ~.~ )

I play guitar, write songs and propose various ideas too (laughs). Inori: I am Inori, the resident of darkness. How would you describe Glamscure’s world? ©La'veil MizeriA Can you introduce yourselves to the readers of Summon the Roses? Kikyo: I'm Kikyo on vocals. Jaki: I'm Jaki on guitar. Nice to meet you. Milia: I'm Milia on bass. How would you describe La'veil MizeriA’s world? How do you want to impress your audience? Kikyo: It's a world of sorrow and madness, made of cruel stories. What is the meaning behind your band name? How did you decide on that band name? Kikyo: It represents the things we want to express and our world. Your album, “Jakumetsu Kyouen”, was release last June. What’s your favorite song in this album why? Kikyo: I like all songs but the title track is my favorite. It's the beginning of the end.
